MORGANTOWN, W.Va., Oct. 11 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- BB&T today said it has named Jodie Hughes as president of its West Virginia North community bank region based here. As regional president, he will be responsible for commercial banking, small business banking, retail banking, corporate banking and retail mortgage banking.
He succeeds Brent Robinson, who retired July 31 after a 29-year banking career.
Hughes, 38, previously served as BB&T's city executive in Louisville, Ky., since 2005. Prior to that, he served five years as senior credit officer in Morgantown. Hughes joined BB&T in 1996 as a business services officer.
