CLONMEL-BASED Joseph Broderick was in action on Wednesday, spending 300,000gns on a Meon Valley Stud-consigned Galileo filly out of One So Marvellous, a winning sister to One So Wonderful.

Broderick, who has been advised by Coolmore's Maurice Moloney, bought the historic Newtown Anner Stud five years ago, although the farm is only now ready to take in breeding stock after renovation.
