Ten months ago, Cleveland took another step toward becoming a leading international center of commerce when it joined 280 other cities across the globe as a World Trade Center.
Karen Riggle, manager of World Trade Center Cleveland, said receiving a franchise from the World Trade Centers Association is important because it will enable companies in Northeast Ohio to have access to market information from more than 140 countries.
And that will give local businesses an advantage when seeking to do business abroad.
