Jun. 1--Moving to keep one of Richmond's Fortune 500 companies from leaving town, Mayor Leonidas B. Young said yesterday he favors "a number of incentive possibilities" to ensure that James River Corp. stays put.
Young called a news conference at City Hall to rebut a Times-Dispatch article yesterday that described James River's top-level study of a headquarters move to Connecticut and the possible closing of its riverfront headquarters here.
Young said he had been assured yesterday that James River isn't leaving town.
