Pat Nixon celebrated his 1,000th match as Grantham Town club secretary at The Meres on Saturday.
The Gingerbreads board of directors took to the pitch during half-time and presented Pat with a silver salver in recognition of his long service.
Club chairman Roger Booth said: "Pat has been a marvellous servant to the club. His 20 years' service to the club is marvellous.
"Over the years, Pat has built up a deserved reputation in football. Long may it continue."
In his time as secretary, the 57-year-old has seen 20 managers come and go and the Gingerbreads play in five leagues on three home grounds.
