Introduction
Over the last few years, spectrum analyzer technology has matured. Analyzers have become increasingly accurate test instruments that can measure both amplitude and frequency with greater precision.[1,2] Automatic calibration methods have been developed to eliminate frequency-dependent amplitude errors caused by the frequency conversion process in the first mixer. Careful design can ensure that these errors are reproducible. Appropriate correction values can be stored and used to correct the results, thereby reducing residual errors to 2 dB or less over the entire frequency range.
