TWO sporting legends returned to Lindrick Golf Club last week, to revisit the scene of one of British golf's finest hours.

Peter Alliss and Bernard Hunt, two of the three surviving members of the victorious 1957 Great Britain and Ireland Ryder Cup team, were special guests at the club's celebrations for the 50th anniversary of the historic win over the United States of America.

On 5th October 1957 the Great Britain and Ireland team, led by captain Dai Rees, defeated the much-fancied Americans in what became known as the 'Lindrick Miracle'.
