SEATTLE, June 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Washington Mutual, Inc. (Nasdaq: WAMU) and Enterprise Bank today announced the signing of a definitive agreement under which Washington Mutual will acquire the Bellevue, Wash.-based commercial bank.

Upon completion of the acquisition, Enterprise will operate as a division of Washington Mutual's banking subsidiary, Washington Mutual Bank, and will conduct business under the Enterprise name. The new division will be managed by current Enterprise Bank chairman and founder Thomas E.
