WARREN, Mich., June 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Sales of Chevrolet passenger cars were up more than six percent in May, led by the all-new, midsize Lumina and Monte Carlo models which enjoyed their best month ever on their way to setting a model year record for the line.
Lumina (20,745) and Monte Carlo (7,642) sales in May set an all-time high at 28,387 units. May marked the seventh consecutive monthly sales record for Lumina and Monte Carlo since October 1994.
Sales of the 1995 Lumina and Monte Carlo total 225,406, surpassing the 225,025 units sold during Lumina's record 1993 model year. The vehicles are also on pace to reach an annualized sales rate of more than ...
