MUM-of-two Tara Taylor is hoping her half marathon run on Sunday will help children who are being abused or who are in distress.
Thirty-eight-year-old Tara, of Newton, is raising money for the NSPCC's Full Stop campaign.
The charity is close to her heart because she suffered several years of abuse as a child and finally broke her silence in 2006 after 28 years.
After going to the police, there was a lengthy investigation going back over almost three decades which resulted in a conviction this year.
Tara feels if Childline had been around in the 70s she might have been able to put a full stop to her suffering much sooner.
