MEMBERS of the Taylor High School community were shocked and saddened by the sudden death of former support staff member Margaret Harvie last week.
Margaret, 72, was a member of staff at Taylor from its opening in 1972 until her retirement seven years ago ? and even since then she continued to help out at the school.
Head teacher Gerry McCormick said that Margaret, who was originally from Bellshill but lived for many years in Jerviston, was an institution at the school.
He said: "She held a fascinating range of jobs during her time working in Taylor High, including the posts of day cleaner, janitor, ASN assistant, dining hall assistant, home ...
