BAIL was refused for Coleraine man Peter Neill at a Coleraine court on Monday.
Neill, 39, from Hazelbank Road in the town, had applied to North Antrim Maguistrates' Court for bail on charges arising from an incident at his home on September 1. He had previously been remanded in custody on a series of eight charges arising from the incident, including threats to kill and inflicting grievious bodily harm.
The court heard that police objected to bail on the grounds that if he was released he would pose a danger to himself and others. Police conceeded that there was little likelihood of him interfering with witnesses or failing to appear for his trial.
