Despite opposition from local hackney operators, Taxi Stand Bye-Laws including the construction of two 24 hour taxi ranks and one 12 hour taxi rank in Carrick-on-Shannon were adopted at last Monday's Leitrim County Council Meeting.
The draft of the Taxi Stand Bye Laws which was available for inspection from August 8 to September 5 in the County Council Offices received no submissions and so its was proposed by Cllr Enda Stenson and seconded by Cllr Sean McGowan at the October meeting to proceed with the taxi ranks.
