A Wearside schoolgirl is taking the equestrian world by storm.
Rachel Davis, who hails from Sunderland's East End, recently rubbed shoulders with the horse world elite after qualifying for a place in the Royal London Show.
The 15-year-old, a pupil at Southmoor School, took up riding just five years ago and had to beat strong competition at events throughout the year to gain a place at the famous event.
Rachel's mum, Veronica, of Warren Square, said: "We are so proud of her. She has just done amazing to get to the Royal London Show.
"You usually think of horse show people as being posh, but Rachel is just a little girl from the East End ...
