A cancer sufferer from Burwash has fulfilled one of his lifelong ambitions, thanks to two big-hearted PCSOs.
Pat Hopkins had previously been diagnosed with the disease, and it has recently returned, forcing him to bring all of his plans for next year forward.
PCSOs Chris Dewitt and Tom McAspurn, based at Battle, have relied on the support of Pat in the community and have built a close relationship with him.
When the pair found out Pat was ill, they approached local businessman Nick, who flies to work in London daily by helicopter, and arranged a special treat for Pat.
