A LOCAL pensioner is warning householders to be wary after a letter purporting to be from an international lottery asked for personal bank account details.
The Dungannon man - who does not wish to be named - contacted the Tyrone Times after the letter, addressed to his wife, arrived at his home last week.
Declaring that the man's wife had won a prize of [pounds sterling]1.2 million in the A category of the Australian international lottery programme, the letter stated that the money had been deposited in an offshore expense account.
The letter goes on: "Be informed also that this winning prize money has a HARD COVER INSURANCE POLICY that makes ...
