Sports-talk radio may be the bane of coaches these days, but Arkansas can thank such a medium for landing a key player in its defense the past two seasons. Matt Hewitt had attracted attention from Purdue, Michigan State and other schools in the Midwest during his second season at Alfred State Community College in New York, but because he wasn't going to graduate in December--college teams like for transfers to come in and experience spring practice to be ready for the fall season--he dropped off their radar.
