Arthritic lady desperate for private space
A 73-year-old Carnwath lady who can barely walk was told she would have to wait for up to three months before South Lanarkshire Council finally created a disabled parking bay outside her home.
Main Street resident Meryl Harris - who has arthritis in her spine and needs a stick to walk - is desperate for a private space as the high number of vehicles in the street means she struggles to get parked anywhere near her house.
She is devastated at the delay.
