A world boxing legend is heading to Wearside as part of a one-off national UK tour.
During one of only six appearances, Roberto "Hands of Stone" Duran has agreed to come to the city for a sportsmans' dinner.
Arguably the greatest lightweight boxer of all time, Duran went on to win four world titles in different weight divisions.
He was the first man to beat Sugar Ray Leonard and, is the only boxer to have fought in five different decades.
The 56-year-old will be appearing at Sunderland's Quayside Exchange bar on Friday, October 5. During the evening, clips of some of his most famous fights will be shown and he will answer questions ...
