NAPERVILLE, Ill., June 7 /PRNewswire/ -- The Electronic Business Co-op (EBC) today announced GEMPLUS Card International Corp. has joined the co-op as a founding member. The EBC was formed earlier this year by Checkfree Corp., Spyglass Inc., Tandem Computing (NYSE: TDM) and Virtual Open Network Environment Corp. (V-ONE) to provide an open, convenient and secure payment system to conduct electronic commerce over the Internet. The solution is scheduled to be available in the third quarter of 1995.
