The couple behind the Observer's Selsey Scene have put away their pens for the final time.
John and Eve Dawe, who started contributing four years ago, have decided to end their four-year association with the Observer and enjoy their retirement.
Eve (61) said: "We've started our retirement now and we're just going to do what we want to do so we don't have any ties.
"We have really enjoyed doing Selsey Scene."
The couple, who have three daughters, lived in Selsey for a decade before moving away, only to move back ten years ago to be closer to their grandchildren.
