QUICKER, easier rail connections between South Yorkshire and the continent move a step closer today as Eurostar runs its first train into London's St Pancras station.
The high-speed train operator is running its inaugural train over Britain's new 186mph high-speed line, arriving into the restored St Pancras International, Eurostar's new London terminal.
It means that everything is on track for the start of passenger services from St Pancras to Paris and Brussels from November.
Currently train passengers from South Yorkshire wanting to use Eurostar face a journey across central London to Waterloo International.
