The road to finding low-cost, outsource production in China is tricky and filled with potholes, according to several manufacturers and distributors.
The same holds true for exporting products to the country from the U.S. or Europe, a Chinese official said.
Christopher Don, executive director of Hallam Victoria, Australia-based C.C. Components Pty. Ltd. and one of four owners of the business, said if a company doesn't have the right road map when attempting to make products in China for export, it will prove quite costly.
"Not everyone can buy from Chinese manufacturers,'' he said. "I always check out references. ...
