VETERAN country singer Sydney Devine was in intensive care in a Spanishhospital last night following heart surgery.
The Scots star had been staying at his holiday home near Malaga on the Costadel Sol when he complained of stomach pains.
Surgeons operated after finding the 67-year-old had two aneurisms in his aorta,the main artery that takes blood from the heart.
A spokesman for the Xanit Hospital Internacional in the Andalucian town ofBenalmadena said the surgery had gone well and the star was 'stable' inintensive care.
