SCHENECTADY - Flashing her famous father's wide smile and sharp wit, Naomi Tutu talked Wednesday about rituals surrounding death and dying in her AIDS-ravaged homeland of South Africa.

The daughter of Archbishop Desmond Tutu, winner of the Nobel Peace Prize for his struggle against apartheid, spoke to stu dents in an introduction to sociology class at Union College as a spokeswoman for hospice care in South Africa.

She also presented a public lecture at the college Wednesday night.
