MORE than [pounds sterling]1,500 raised by a woman whose father was treated at Lutterworth's Feilding Palmer Hospital has been used to buy a summer house for patients.
Beverley Fisher, from South Wigston, decided to raise money for the hospital after her father Claude Markham received treatment there immediately before his death from cancer in September 2006.
The family collected [pounds sterling]700 at Mr Markham's funeral in lieu of flowers and raised another [pounds sterling]850 at a subsequent quiz night at the Bassett Centre in South Wigston.
