In winning a piece of a conference championship for the first time in 31 years, the Madison La Follette prep football team merged style points with the three dozen it put up on the scoreboard Wednesday night.
Included in a 36-0 Big Eight Conference victory over Beloit Memorial at Lussier Stadium were a fake kickoff reverse; a couple of direct snaps to running back D.J. Fuller; and a nifty one-handed flip from holder Cashton Craig to kicker Steve Chapiewsky, who then threw a 2-point conversion.
It was brought up to Lancers coach Chad Wiese that the play-calling was a bit exotic.
