THE Fianna Fail organisation in Kilkenny has written to Taoiseach Bertie Ahern urging him to appoint a senior Fianna Fail minister from the Carlow-Kilkenny constituency
A joint letter, signed by all members of the Officer Board of the Kilkenny Comhairle Dailcheantair, pointed out to Mr Ahern that Fianna Fail secured 47.7% of the vote share in Carlow - Kilkenny, realised 32,272 first preferences, and returned three high-
calibre TDs to the 30th Dail.
"It is our considered view that Carlow-Kilkenny now deserves meaningful recognition and we are asking you to appoint a senior minister from the constituency on this occasion," the letter states.
