Recent years have seen a proliferation of books about qualitative research, mostly by US- and UK-based authors. The book under review is by two Australia-based authors, public health researcher Pranee Liamputtong and sociologist Douglas Ezzy. That the first edition of the book, published in 1999, was reprinted four times and that a second edition came out in 2005 are indicators of its popularity.
