AUDIENCES at Pocklington Arts Centre will enjoy the new season of entertainment in plusher surroundings as the auditorium is refurbished this summer.
There will be no events at the venue for a month while all the seats are
re-upholstered.
The auditorium make-over follows a new carpet in the bar area, new signage throughout the centre and new frames in the entrance foyer.
The auditorium closes on Friday, 17 August, when the re-upholstering of the 196 seats begins.
Janet Farmer, manager, said: "The seats are being removed and re-vamped. The padding will be increased - that's one of the main things for everybody.
