TODAY (Thursday), around 100 island athletes will fly out of the United Kingdom, their destination the Greek island of Rhodes.
The group will be competing in the 12th Natwest World Island Games, pitting their sporting prowess against fellow islanders from across the globe.
Having only joined the World Island Games community in 2005, where they performed above everyone's expectations in Shetland, the Western Isles squad is brimming with confidence that second time round, they can go one better and claim some gold.
