A MAN from Kettlethorpe who battled against alcoholism for decades died in his sleep after his liver failed.
James McLoughlin, 65, of Wharncliffe Road, was found dead by his wife on June 22, Wakefield Coroner's Court heard on Wednesday.
A post mortem found that Mr McLoughlin had developed a fatty liver after years of abuse.
