INTERNATIONAL football star, Chris Baird, has lent his backing to this year's Ballymoney Times Sports Awards.
The Premiership footballer got onside with the Times this week when he described the awards as 'a key part of the local sporting calender'.
Fulham ace Baird said: "The Ballymoney Sports Awards are very important to the community in the borough and I'm quite sure this year's ceremony will be the best yet.
"I wish all those shortlisted for the various categories every success on the night and good luck to everyone nominated."
Baird's backing comes as the organisers prepare to put the finishing touches to this year's ceremony.
