FOR the family of RAF pilot Keith Edgeley, the opening of the National Memorial Arboretum in Staffordshire signalled their long-awaited recognition of his life.
The memorial is dedicated to servicemen who have been killed in the line of duty since 1948.
And the name of Flying Officer Keith Edgeley is among the 16,000 inscribed on the impressive memorial, to the obvious pride of his family, including his brother-in-law, George Brock, from Aston Clinton.
Flying Officer Edgeley was originally stationed at RAF Halton before moving to Scampton in Lincolnshire. It was here that he was killed in a plane crash while on duty on August 23, 1954. He was ...
