LARNE Council this week resolved to contact Ballycarry Community Association and discuss the possibility of establishing an Ulster Scots outreach centre in the area.
Dr David Hume, chairman of the association, wrote to the council following a discussion, reported in the Times, of a government public consultation exercise into the feasibility of establishing an Ulster Scots academy in Northern Ireland.
