PEOPLE involved in Scouting in the Scarborough area are invited to a special dinner to commemorate the centenary of the movement started by Baden Powell in 1907.
District Commissioner Bonnie Purchon says the event at the Palm Court Hotel will help draw to a close a year of activities organised in celebration of the organisation.
The highlight of this year's celebrations was the World Jamboree when 10 young people from Scarborough joined 40,000 Scouts from across the globe in Hylands Park, Essex, for two weeks of fun and adventure.
