BOLTON - Tom Quinn said he has always enjoyed playing in poor weather. Last night, he had his chance to prove it.
Quinn, a senior quarterback, scored three touchdowns to lead Nashoba to a 27-6 thumping of Wachusett in a Division 1 non-league game through rain, wind and mud last night. The Chieftains improved to 4-3, and the Mountaineers fell to 2-5.
While the conditions appeared to slow down both offenses, it seemingly had little effect on Quinn, who scored on a 45-yard punt return and runs of 58 and 70 yards.
"This is what I love about playing football - the mud, the rain - this is what it's about," Quinn said. ...
