Introduction
The prevention of childhood lead poisoning in the United States has been a medical and public health priority since the 1970s (American Academy of Pediatrics [AAP], 2005; Erikson & Thompson, 2005; Mattuck, Beck, Bowers, & Cohen, 2001).
