HOSPITAL services in Pontefract are improving, according to new performance ratings published today.
The Mid Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust - which runs Pontefract General Infirmary, Pinderfields and Dewsbury hospitals - has been rated as 'fair' for quality of services in the Healthcare Commission's annual performance ratings, a year after it was rated 'weak' and one of just eight acute hospitals across the country to get the lowest score.
