Pearson is laying the groundwork for an Asian empire - with a little help from its friends.
On the surface, it's an odd corporate marriage: reserved British holding company Pearson plc and Stewart Nazzaro - whose outspoken opinions, delivered in a hip American patois, are enough to distinguish him in the corporate crowd, even if he wasn't a legally blind albino.
But after a year in his Hong Kong-based trench, Nazzaro is starting to realize Pearson's dream of adding a clutch of Pacific Rim media properties to its holdings.
