REIGNING national hill climb champion James Dobbin had to share overall honours in Matlock Cycling Club's double-header hill climb on Sunday.
Dobbin, of London-based Arctic Shorter Rochford Racing Team, began the day by taking the morning's Riber climb in three minutes 39.5 seconds, almost five seconds clear of South Pennines rider Charles Taylor.
Third-placed Liam Holohan of Derby-based Merlin Racing Team turned things around in the afternoon, however, when the climb made its debut on Bank Road.
Holohan set a new course mark of 1.54.2. and was the only rider to break two minutes.
