John Isner moved into the semifinals with another straight-set win Friday, beating No. 3 Bobby Reynolds, 7-6 (5), 7-5, in a quarterfinal match in the Calabasas Pro Challenger.
Isner will play the tournament's top-seeded player, former Pepperdine standout Robert Kendrick in the first semifinal at noon today at the Calabasas Tennis & Swim Center. Kendrick defeated Simon Stadler, 6-1, 6-7 (8).
Isner said he has never crossed paths with Reynolds before, even though he played four years at the University of Georgia and Reynolds trains in Atlanta.
