San Diego County will gain about 350 jobs from a new service center Kaiser Permanente plans to open here.

The center will provide administrative and billing services for all the California members of the HMO, spokeswoman Jessica Lott said.

The new center will begin operating over a six- to eight-week period beginning in August, Lott said. The company is accepting applications for the new jobs from Kaiser employees throughout its system.

The center's exact location hasn't been decided yet, Lott added. Kaiser administrators are now considering several alternatives in the Greater San Diego area.
