If you're one of the more than 100 million Americans who take antioxidant supplements, you may be doing more harm than good. In February 2007, the American Medical Association published results from a review of 68 randomized trials revealing that the use of antioxidant supplements may increase your risk of death. Nearly a quarter of a million people were studied in these trials and all were taking beta carotene, vitamin A, vitamin C, vitamin E, or selenium in supplement form.
