Article: ATA REPORTS MAY INCREASE OF 19.6% IN AIR TRAFFIC; SCHEDULED SERVICE LOAD FACTOR INCREASE OF 10.3 POINTS

INDIANAPOLIS, June 12 /PRNewswire/ -- American Trans Air (ATA), the principal subsidiary of Amtran Inc. (Nasdaq: AMTR), today reported that its May 1995 traffic increased 19.6% to 603.7 million revenue passenger miles (RPMs) compared with the same period last year. Available seat miles (ASMs) for May 1995 rose 10.5% to 866.7 million compared with May 1994.

Year-to-date RPMs increased to 3.6 billion, up 31.5% over the same period last year. Year-to-date ASMs increased 30.6% to 5.2 billion compared with 4.0 billion for 1994.
