TWO men wielding a samurai sword and a pistol carried out a terrifying armed robbery bid to settle a [pounds sterling]25 debt, a court heard.
Simon Munns, who has admitted his role in the attempted robbery, ran into the Premier Convenience Store, in Hodgson Avenue, Werrington, Peterborough, jumped over the counter and put the 3ft ornamental sword to shopkeeper Jiva Modha's throat.
Terrified, Mr Modha screamed and ran out of the shop, escaping past a
second man - alleged to be Simon Rees - who tried to grab him as he went out the door.
