TALLAHASEE, Fla.--Spring is traditionally a time for a return to warmer weather and the start of the baseball season, but for those in the extended-service contract business it's also a time for keeping track of the many state bills introduced to regulate the industry.
More than 30 regulatory bills have been introduced this spring by lawmakers in different states, according to Tim Meenan, executive director of the Service Contract Industry Council, which is made up of third-party service providers.
