Title IX was put into effect to achieve gender equity in collegiate sports. Any university receiving federal funding is prohibited from discriminating on the basis of sex.

Women's sports have many strides in the past three decades. Many more women's programs have been implemented in universities around the country.
But a question lingers: Is there gender equity among coaches? Do men continue to dominate the collegiate coaching profession?
In order to answer this question, we randomly selected 18 schools from four sports in the NCAA and had their data retrieved from the NCAA web site.
