Jun. 7--Twenty San Antonio-area delegates will bring concerns ranging from over-regulation to business borrowing to the White House Conference on Small Business next week in Washington, D.C.
David Bowles, owner of Check Technologies in San Antonio, said that when he went into business five years ago he had to sell his home to raise capital because state law wouldn't let him borrow against it.
He also paid a hefty penalty for drawing on his 401(k) retirement account to help finance the new enterprise.
