Hospital bosses are set to name Leeds's new cancer super-centre the Bexley Wing.
Cancer services provided at the [pounds sterling]220m building, at St James's Hospital, are likely to be known as the St James's Institute of Oncology.
Managers decided against calling the centre after inspirational heroine Jane Tomlinson, despite it being the option favoured in a consultation.
Chiefs at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust had already ruled out naming it after any individual.
